Redesign Checkout

Problems

Small businesses do not have the opportunity to allocate a marketing budget to create their own website or application.

Goal

Provide the opportunity to earn small business. Saves on the creation of a website and application by registering products on our platform.

Analyzing existing flow

We started by examining the existing checkout process, which revealed that users were abandoning carts due to the complexity and the number of steps required to complete a purchase. Key pain points included a confusing interface, lack of payment options, and a lengthy sign-up form.

Old and new user flow

Ideating and sketching

Brainstorming sessions led to numerous ideas such as guest checkout options, multi-payment integration, and a progress indicator. We sketched these features with a focus on minimalism and efficiency.

Prototyping and Testing

We developed a low-fidelity prototype for the new checkout flow with a simplified form, intuitive navigation, and clear calls to action. New features like a one-page checkout and saved payment options were added. Testing with customers showed appreciation for the one-page checkout, but also highlighted the need for clearer error messages and a more visible order summary.
